The capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra is Mumbai (also known as "Bombay," official name until 1995). Demographically, it's India's most populated city. 1) GATEWAY OF INDIA

The Indian Gateway is an arched monument that was built in Bombay in the 20th century. It is the tourist attraction most popular. It was established on 31 March 1911 as the basis for Gateway of India. The Gateway used to represent the Viceroys and Governors of Bombay as their symbolic entrance.The Gateway of India is a popular tourist destination for local people, street vendors and photographers in Mumbai. It is also one of the several places in the city where the "RAMLILA" takes place annually on the stage. At the end of the 10-day performance, an effigy of Ravan erected on sand is burnt. 5) MARINE DRIVE



In South Mumbai the Marine Drive is 3,6 km long. The route was designed by late Bhagojisheth Keer and Pallonji Mistry philanthropists. It is a concrete C-shaped6-lane road on the coast, and a natural bay. The road connects Malabar to the Nariman Point. It is also known as the collar of the Queen, because, if seen at night, this appears as a string of pearls in the collar at a higher point along the road. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road is the official name of this road.

6) BANDRA WORLI SEA LINK

The Bandra Worli Seas Link, also known as the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link is a wire-stay bridge that links Bandra in western Mumbai suburbs with Worli in southern Mumbai with a pre-stressed concrete-state viaduct on either side. It is part of the West Freeway that will connect western suburbs in the main business district of Mumbai, to Nariman Point.
